Vacheron & Constantin 18K WG ref 7391 Basket Weave Design circa 1970s

Introducing a stunning 18K WG Vacheron & Constantin with integral 18K WG basket weave bracelet. This is the ref 7391 so called TV screen cushion shaped case model from the 1970s. Featuring a 29 x 32mm oval cushion shaped case with sapphire crystal and deeply textured bezel that matches the textured quilted basket weave pattern of the bracelet. Powered by Audemars caliber K1120 self winding movement without date. We are huge fans of this bracelet design, noteworthy of Vacheron during this era. This watch looks good, and feels good and wears “good!” The bracelet has mass, and depth, due to the “quilt” like shape of the links but without excessive weight. While the case and bracelet are in superb condition, when acquired, the original blue dial was faded and spotted, and not attractive. We have had the dial refinished and it is now a stunning and rich blue metallic finish which makes the watch really “pop!”  The woven quilt like bracelet is in fine, unpolished and never shortened condition. The heavy snap back case is unpolished and retains the sharply stamped case serial #s. The bracelet is secured with a folding V & C logo clasp and will fit a 7 1/2″ wrist, with small further adjustments under the clasp. The bracelet will require a jeweler to shorten for a smaller size wrist. As stunning a dress, wedding, or tuxedo watch as you are likely to find anywhere.
