Patek Philippe 18K YG ref 3445 Automatic 1st Series circa 1960

Patek Philippe 18K YG ref 3445 classic 1st series circa 1960 self winding dress model with heavy screw down water proof style case back. Great looking vintage model with stepped 35mm X 42mm screw back case, with great condition original champagne dial signed Patek Philippe Geneve. Powered by self winding 30 jewel calibre 27-460 movement with non quick set date and with subsidiary seconds. With signed Calatrava logo Patek crown. This is a classic and popular automatic Patek model, but this particular example is quite a stand out in our opinion because of the distinctive dial characteristics. While this model is often found with a champagne dial, it is typically seen with gold applied stick and gold hands. The current example features black enamel caps on each of the dial indexes and black painted hour, minute and second hands. The contrast of the black against the gold provides a drama and “pop” to this example, absent in the more monochromatic version. This fine Patek has been recently serviced and left unpolished. The case is beefy and well preserved, showing light surface wear. The heavy screw down case back is free of any personalized engraving.
